Extended Leave Applications

If families are applying for extended leave, there are new practices we are implementing. 

Families can apply for a Certificate of Exemption from Attendance at School, under the Education Act 1990 for the following reasons:

• Employment in Entertainment Industry

• Elite Sports or Arts ( Refers to national/international sports events, elite programs run by national and international organisations, talent identification programs run by NSW Dept Sport and Recreation)  

• Exceptional Circumstances

This leave means that students' absence from school is recorded as an exemption and the attendance percentage remains unaffected. 

Families can apply for a Certificate of Extended Leave - Travel

This is either approved or unapproved. This impacts students' attendance percentage. 

Families will be notified of the outcome by the Principal.
