Boarding at Red Bend... Red Bend Catholic College aims to meet the wishes of parents and the needs of children by integrating life experiences, a sound education, and sporting and social opportunities with a young person's growth in their Catholic Faith. The Marist Brothers have over 100 years of experience in the running of boarding schools in Australia, and although methods have been updated to meet the needs of the times, their basic aim remains: The total care of the students. A distinctive feature of Red Bend Catholic College is the active participation of its students in Liturgy. Anyone who has taken part in a College Mass would know that they have experienced something very special. The Boarding Community celebrates Mass every weekend and actively joins in this celebration with singing, readings, offertory and reflections. Our boarding facilities are continually being updated to meet the changing needs of students. Each dormitory area is equipped with semi-private areas. The Boys' Dormitory was built in 1992 and 46 single rooms were purpose built for senior girls in 2001. As part of our ongoing committment to Technology, boarders now have access to computers in the dormitories. These are joined to the college network and can be used for completion of class work, research or accessing the internet. This gives boarders access to the many resources available at Red Bend Catholic College outside school hours. An excellent Catholic Secondary Education is available at Red Bend at a most reasonable cost which is very competitive with other private schools. There is also provision for weekly boarding.
